Mindfulness Meditation
What is Mindfulness? Mindfulness is about being in the moment and aware of what surrounds you. It's about knowing what you think, feel, taste, smell, see, and hear in the moment. Meditation is when we use guided imagery to help relax the mind and the body. Put them together and you are present with yourself. So often we try to get away from ourselves by watching TV, drinking alcohol, using drugs, gambling, etc. We feel the need to get away from ourselves, which causes stress, frustration, anxiety, depression, etc. With mindfulness meditation, we come back to our roots. We begin to see our true identity and who we can truly become. It's a beautiful thing! We learn to gain control over ourselves and start fulfilling our potential.
Below are some meditations I have created. Pick one and try it out. If it's too weird for you, that's okay! Keep trying. The more you meditate, the better you'll feel. Bonus: For those who have ADD/ADHD, practicing mindfulness meditation for 10-15 minutes a day for at least 3-6 months will help you be able to focus better. Go ahead, give it a try!
